Alex Panormios

Entering his 19th season as play-by-play "Voice" of the Duquesne University football team is Alex Panormios. He is the founder and president of Red Zone Media, Inc., an internet company that specializes in streaming high school and college sporting events since 2000. No stranger to Duquesne athletics, Panormios also serves as the play-by-play voice to the Duquesne women's basketball team. In addition, he has been the play-by play voice of North Hills High School football for over 20 years. On the television side, he worked two years doing the play-by-play for the Comcast High School Game of the Week. Panormios also was the play-by-play voice for the Pittsburgh Crossfire of the National Lacrosse League that played at the Mellon Arena. Alex, his wife Mimi and son Alex reside in the North Hills of Pittsburgh.
Tad Maurey
Color Commentary

For most of his life Tad has called Pittsburgh his home. Growing up in Hampton Township, he has always followed Pittsburgh sports, both on the professional and collegiate levels, very closely. Tad has a B.A. in Broadcast from the Ernie Pyle School of Journalism at Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana. He is entering his 13th season overall broadcasting Duquesne Athletics. This will be his seventh season as Color commentator of the Dukes football team and his 13th in the same position for the Women’s Basketball team. Prior to his work at Duquesne, Tad co-produced the Penn State Football and Men’s Basketball Television shows that aired nationally for six years. During this time, the show was awarded a Mid-Atlantic Emmy Award for Outstanding Sports Series. Tad currently resides in the Oakmont Borough of Pittsburgh.
Ryan Gavatorta
Studio Host

The Pittsburgh native and Duquesne graduate serves as the sports information director for seven Duquesne University athletics teams, including women’s basketball. While earning his degree in communications, Gavatorta handled color commentary for both the Dukes football and men’s basketball teams on Duquesne’s student radio station, WdSR. Prior to his hire on the Bluff in 2007, he served worked as a producer for Red Zone Media and the Robert Morris University radio network. Gavatorta and his wife Amy reside in the South Side area of Pittsburgh.
