RIVERS CASINO VOLUNTEERS BUST OUT FOR A DAY OF GIVING

Team Members Volunteer Time and Labor to Support Dump Buster Crew

PITTSBURGH March 28, 2014 — Team Members from Rivers Casino will donate their time to help the Dump Busters on Monday, March 31, from 9 a.m.—noon as part of its ongoing Community Champions program. More than 20 volunteer Team Members from the casino will convene at in the Perry South neighborhood to help remove debris from the North Side.

The Dump Buster program works to combat illegal dumping in Allegheny County. The crew is led by the Allegheny Cleanways organization and has cleaned up more than 200 tons of debris over three years.

“Our Team Members enjoy seeing the efforts of their labor and we’re excited to join the Dump Buster Crew for a day to help make a difference in our own neighborhood,” said Andre Barnabei, vice president of human resources at Rivers Casino.

Already this year, the Rivers Casino Community Champions have given their time and talents to the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank and KDKA-AM’s Warmathon. The Dump Buster project is part of Rivers’ yearlong community service program, reaching people and organizations throughout the city of Pittsburgh.
